Then I caught a bus to Modesto and stayed there a couple of nights in a not-quite-cheap-enough motel that smelled like mold. First thing I did when I got in was open the window and it was still wide open when I left.

Unfortunately when I met Kendy I did not have my camera on hand. I really wish I had gotten a picture of her. She's a cute skinny girl, a sharp dresser with amazing facial structure. Guess you'll just have to use your imagination there. On the way back to SF I did manage to get many pictures of the mountains bristling with windmills. Here come so many windmill pictures it'll make you want to vomit:
Windmills are a good sign. Maybe there's hope for the future after all.
