Toward where I got off the trail, I noticed lots of terra cotta clay gutters, pots, etc. half buried in the ground. I was thinking if you ever wanted to build a terra cotta roof, you could probably scavenge enough here to do it! Then I saw a compound of brick kilns. I investigated...

A largish building toward the south seemed to have been lived in long ago. A rotten blanket gave this away. Also there were the beginnings of someone trying to organize things a little bit. There was a set of 10 or 12 starters crudely lined up in rows.
