North to Doolin
Next day I set off for points north. I had a good tailwind this time, as I was headed north for a change. I surprised myself by making it all the way to Doolin in one day. That's about 100 miles, I reckon. Ok now: Sometimes the hedges are cut so you are actually going through a tunnel of vegetation.

Here was another wrong-turn surprise: Rattoo Tower. There is a small graveyard around it.

There were people there, who actually flew over on the same plane as me! Crazy to meet them here. They are from suburban Chicago. A relative of theirs is buried here.

As it was a 'distance day', I was not taking a whole lot of pictures. Here I have made it about half way through the ride. I'm at the Shannon river on board the Tarbert Ferry.

County Claire lies on the other side of the river.

Panoramic shot:

I haven't taken many graveyard shots have I? This one is even more full of Celtic crosses than usual.

The ruins of a church stand here as well.

Hey! I was just on that boat!

Like I said, I did not take many pictures that day. Sometimes, I just want to keep going, and going, and going...

next!
