San Diego is a city which contains many palm trees. A good portion of these are in Ocean Beach.
May I recommend "Village Kabob", a lovely Greek restaurant where I ate Greek food served up by a gorgeous Greek girl (whose name I forget. Hey this all happened a month ago!), where I ate delicious falafel underneath this PALM TREE:
I wonder how many California photologs are cheesily full of palm trees. In any case, I decided to get off the palm tree tip early and head toward the water.
ooooo my! The Pacific Ocean at last! Actually it'd been only about 5 months since I had seen this ocean. I haven't seen the Atlantic in a little longer.
Holy Smokes! It's the most gigantic kelp / antlers I have ever seen! There was a girl holding it up but my camera batteries (which had been unchanged even after the Stone brewery) died again just in time and she didn't want to wait for me to change them. Maybe you can get an idea of the size from the footprints...aw hell I'll just throw in my whole FOOT.
It was kind of a chilly day, as far as days at the beach in San Diego go, but I still liked it.
Seals? No, SURFERS! in WET SUITS...
The pier is a good spot to take pictures from. The last several are from there. Also it's a good spot to get a spendy (but good) cup of hot cocoa.
Hey, wait a minute...That IS a seal!
Well, I at least *hope* it's a seal. I don't really want to think about what *else* it might be. *shudder*
