When I sleep outside, I often wake at dawn. I get to see lots of lovely sunrises! Here's one at Onieda Lake:

I found this boat launch more pleasant in the early am, without all the boats launching!

After a day of rest and loud motorboats, I decided it was time to press onward, westward. Soon enough I was very near to Rochester. I stayed at a nice campsite on the edge of Lake Ontario, maybe 40 miles east of the Roc. Ahhh the Great lakes finally! Yes that is Canada visible across the way...

I found mats of weird ...algae I think, growing on the rocky shore here.

I can't decide if I think these washed up here or were put here. I'm leaning toward washed up, but it could be a mix...

On the other hand, this definitely DID NOT wash up...

Sun's just starting to go down...fortunately the tent is already set up!

Rochester

I didn't take a huge whole lot of pictures in Rochester. Someone suggested I visit the brain-eating House of Guitars, which is actually a wee bit to the north of Rochester. I grabbed a few shots of the outside, but not the inside...
