This is the canal near Camp Aqualung, where I moved after camping in a campsite with facilities became too expensive.
A typical scene: Bikes, some dude, a tram, a cute girl talking on a cell phone.
lovely woman on a bike backed up by touristy old folks at GRIMBURGWAL. Whenever I saw that name, I imagined the GRIM BURGER, who comes for those who die of eating too much McDonalds. Speaking of which, I did enter a McDonalds in the Netherlands just before passing back over the border into Belgium. For the record, they did not call a Quarter Pounder a 'Royale' it was a Quarter Pounder, metric system notwithstanding! And the Big Mac was not called Le Big Mac either but then again this wasn't France. They did have a strange sandwich called the McKroket which I actually tried (!) and it turned out to be, for all intents and purposes, a sort of pattie of meatjuice-infused cream of mushroom soup which was breaded and deep fried and was not really good, if not entirely disgusting.
